Two solve this there are two solutions, one is to replace the faulty part with a new item which is costly and the same problem can occur with time. The second solution is to clean the EGR valve and block the EGR pipework with some metal plates which stop the exhaust gasses from being recirculated into the inlet manifold.
To get Land Rover to replace an engine would be a very long and costly exercise. My MY15 3.0 Lt spun a bearing in March at 140,000 k's. The Land Rover quote of $38,000 is not an option, nor is a second hand engine at $15,000 and $5,000 labor from an independent.

A rebuilt engine with a billet crank is on it's way from the UK. A rebuilt engine with a billet crank is on it's way from the UK.
A new fitted crate long engine including labour depending on how much they decide to charge you for the engine should be around $12,500 to $13,500 all up. Especially if they order the engine as a stock item which means they then get a even bigger discount. if they charge you full RRP then it would be a lot more.
1-Disconnect the battery then remove the shifter handle and console top. 2-Unbolt the 4 mounting bolts holding the shifter in place to be able to access the connector. Don't worry about the cable to the transmission as it will remain stable. 3-Remove the connector on the rear of the shifter.
2005 D3 2.7 TDV6 - High Pressure Fuel Pump. Hi Guys, Only just bought the D3 but already had some issues, managed to fit a new thermostat housing myself (sits under the inlet manifold) but now have a new issue. Garage computer reporting low fuel pressure, symptoms are (upon acceleration) a message about engine control followed by special

The TD6 is vacuum operated. I replaced a faulty map sensor, a dodgy actuator solenoid valve and a turbo pipe that had split.
That translates to little over 716 gallons of gas consumed -- at an average of $3 per gallon for the 91-plus-octane premium gas Land Rover required, we shelled out about $2,148 on gas.
