Cut off about 1 1/2 foot of 16 guage wire. Wrap one end of it around the glow plug connector 2 complete times and then twist both ends together so that they tighten around the recessed area in the connector. Unbolting the pump mounting bracket from the subframe also allows you to access the electric and fuel pipe connectors much more easily. Cut the glowplug wire and use a suitable tube over it to bend it until it snaps off. Use a 6-sided socket (don't want to risk rounding) to undo the nut.
