Ford and the British-based company M-Sport have forged a strengthened partnership to ensure Ford's continuing presence at the top level of world rallying and M-Sport, working with Ford Team RS, has produced this vision of an all-new Focus rally car. The dynamic lines of the new Ford Focus, and especially the coupe-like stance of the 3-door Ford Focus RS WRC. This is the Ford Focus RS WRC, as used in the 2001 World Rally Championship (WRC). The driver line up is made up of two former world champions, Colin McRae and Carlos Sainz. The first generation had a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 making a massive 300 hp. Once the second gen version came along, the engine increased in size with a 2.5-liter inline-5 and a power output of 300 hp still. The newest gen Focus RS uses a 2.3-liter inline-4 and an increased 350 hp in total power.

While the new 2023 Toyota GR Corolla might not have as long and storied a past as the Focus RS, it is still bred from rallying intentions. The GR Corolla can trace its roots back to the Celica GT-FOUR, a car that granted Toyota much success in the Group A World Compared to DR2 and RBR. When it comes to tarmac rallying it's better than any other game out there if you have decently developed rally car mods and stages.
